Sony Promises 1 Million PSPs to Avoid Shortage
Posted on March 2, 2005
Sony says it will distribute enough PlayStation Portables (PSPs) in the United States so there will not be a shortage like there was in Japan. Sony has promised 1 million PSPs will be made available on March 24th. In Japan only 200,000 copies were available which led to widespread shortages in the country.
However, CNET reports that one million still may not be enough as some stores have already sold out of their preorders. More information on the PSP is available here.
