Here is an advertising campaign you don't see everyday. Sega set up a website at mybigball.com featuring video clips about the true adventures of Chad. Chad, is this guy who was so into Sega's Super Monkey Ball Deluxe video game that he decided to live in a ball. The videos cover Chad's attempts at swimming, soccer tryouts and going to class while living inside a giant ball.
The Guardian's Gamesblog calls the viral marketing campaign genius. We'd have to agree. Great theme song too.
The My Big Ball site is no longer available, but here s a video of one of the clever viral ads for Super Monkey Ball Deluxe. Chad tries to attend class inside his giant plastic ball. Take a look:
