Brice Mellen, a blind 17-year-old high-school student living in Nebraska, proves that you need more than sight to excel at video games. CNN reports that Mellen can easily defeat gamers with perfect vision in video games like Mortal Combat.
Mellen says, "I can't say that I'm a superpro. I can be beat."
CNN says Mellen memorizes some key joystick operations and moves needed in certain games. He started with classics like Space Invaders with Asteroids before moving on to games like Mortal Combat.
A Washington Post article says Mellen has been playing computer games since age 7. His father says his son has broken a lot of controllers.
