Patrice Bergeron Named Cover Athlete for NHL 15

Boston Bruins forward Patrice Bergeron has been named the cover athlete for NHL 15. Bergeron won an online vote held by EA Sports. Bergeron had over 10 million votes according to EA Sports. Montreal Canadiens defenseman P.K. Subban came in second.

Bergeron says in a statement, "Being featured on the cover of NHL 15 is a dream come true. The fact that the cover is selected entirely by fans is an incredible feeling. The passion and support from hockey fans, especially Bruins fans, is unlike any other sport and I’m so grateful to everyone who voted for me."

The game arrives in stores on September 9 for the Xbox One, PS4, PS4 and Xbox 360. Here's Bergeron at the EA Sports NHL launch. He played the new game in front of crowds.
