Destroy All Humans Game Becomes TV Show

The Hollywood Reporter report that Fox has acquired the television rights to develop a game based on THQ's Destroy All Humans video game. It is being developed into a half-hour CGI-animated comedy.
Joystiq asks "could this turn into a cult hit or just a mess of a good idea?" It can be a fun concept to play the role of an alien out to destroy humanity in a video game but how will this be done as half-hour TV show? Television is different and on TV - like in real life - people want the humans to win. It sounds like Jim Dauterive has a difficult task ahead of him.
