Darth Vader in a Bikini
The force of LEGO Star Wars II: The Original Trilogy is difficult to resist. Not only can you have lightsaber battles with little digital LEGO Star Wars figures but you can also mix and match their body parts. In this particular screenshot a cross-dressing Darth Vader is wearing a bikini.
In LEGO Star Wars II: The Original Trilogy, for the first time ever, characters can get in and out of vehicles, as well as ride creatures. Because of its LEGO brick style, players also can mix and match the body parts of more than 50 playable characters to create one of millions of possible LEGO Star Wars heroes. And on PlayStation 2, Xbox and Windows platforms, a game save from the first LEGO Star Wars can unlock another 50-plus additional characters for Free Play mode; that's more than 100 total characters! Other exciting additions include free-roaming vehicle levels, the ability to switch ships at will in Free Play mode, cool new character-specific attacks and maneuvers, playable mini-kit vehicles, an adaptive difficulty option and more.
Vader may be able to become a cross-dresser but the family values remain in the game according to a press release from LucasArts.
"LEGO Star Wars II is an ideal family game, if not the ultimate family game," lauded the San Jose Mercury News. The Rocky Mountain News' reviewer agreed: "For me, the game's biggest draw is the bonding experience it delivers for me and my son. It's rare to find a game that inspires you to spend as much time laughing and talking with your child as you would trying to beat a level or create a confusing creature."
It sounds like a great family game. However, this excerpt from a Blogcritics review makes you wonder. :-)
You can't stick too close to the script when you're dealing with LEGOs. Besides, one of my favorite things about this game is playing as Chewbacca and ripping people's arms out of their sockets.
Oh, and don't be too shocked to stumble across some Stormtroopers bathing together. It's funny, and a little disturbing.
Gaming Evolution also gave LEGO Star Wars II a great review.
Overall Lego Star Wars II is truly an amazing sequel. It takes the part of the formula that work quite well in the first installment, and just expanded on it with new content, levels, and characters to create one immersive title. Dispite a few issues here and there, the title is still a unique gaming experience and depicts Epsiode IV, V, and VI to a 'T'. If you really was/are interested in Lego Star Wars, then you should go out and buy this title, Lego Star Wars II: The Original Trilogy.
You will find a slew of other postive reviews out there as well. It sounds like they have greatly expanded on the original hit by adding improved game play, humor and the ability to change body parts.
More information about the game can be found on Amazon.com and on the official website.

Online Time Killer: Light Saber Training
Lost Vectors has an online time killer game called Jedi Trainer 2.0. In the game you use your light saber to kill droids by deflecting lasers in to them. You lose hit points when a non-deflected laser hits you and the game ends when you run out of hit points. You start with ten hit points. The graphics are not the best but the playability is good. Besides everyone needs a little light saber training now and then.
